Manager
In the months, weeks and days before the tour begins 'arrangements' other than musical are being made: concert hall managers contacted, airlines booked, hotel rooms reserved- all of the hundred and one details attended to, so that when Peter, Paul and Mary depart, arrive and perform, everything will run smoothly, effortlessly. The person responsible for all of this behind-the-scenes organization is called a tour manager, but that title could never sufficiently describe what Shelley Belusar means in the life of PP&M. Their good shepherd, she leads them through the tangle of airline travel, sees that their instruments are properly handled, locates lost or misplaced luggage. Their guardian angel, she fields telephone calls, see to it that hotel rooms are comfortable, backstage accommodations adequate. In addition, she designs and runs their concert lighting. A tall, husky-voiced woman with the warmest smile and the heartiest laugh, Shelley handles it all with superb efficiency and unfailing good humor. - Lousie Dobbs Shelley is also the founder of the Lively Arts Agency specializing in concert and lecture booking.
Brent Wilson
As assistant tour manager, Brent has many duties with PP&M. He
travels with Mary, arranges band rehearsals, helps set up and break down stage
equipment, assists Dave with sound design and of course is hovering just
offstage to help the show run smoothly.
